As I wind down on this Mother's Day, I can't help but count my blessings. Things aren't perfect, but they're perfectly imperfect.
Yes, there were tears as I thought of my mother, who chooses not to be involved with my life, and also the multiple miscarriages that defined my young adulthood. But those tears were quickly replaced with hugs and snuggles and something that resembles a homemade dessert) from my two boys.
Whether or not your mother is a part of your life, and whether or not your children are apart of your life, I truly hope you had a mother's day filled with love and laughter and joy.
