Student Loan Debt Forgiveness Application Now Open

Scams and gotchas to watch out for

By JJ Conway, publisher of Macaroni Kid Stephenville - Weatherford October 20, 2022

Earlier this week the White House announced the application for Student Loan Debt Relief is "officially" open. 8 Million participated in the beta test of the site. Apply now (it's a quick form) StudentAid.gov

There are concerns that funding may dry up or that the program might only be an election publicity stunt. The President, during today's briefing, mentioned litigation that could possibly threaten to shut down the program (though he wasn't worried about it). I am highly recommending you apply ASAP to have the highest chance of forgiveness/refund.

In Jan, student loan payments WILL BEGIN. This is a huge part of how the government is paying for this program. Who will have to pay? If your student loans don't qualify for forgiveness or were only partially forgiven, OR if you didn't apply in time, your payments will start back up.

DO NOT PAY FOR ASSISTANCE WITH THIS
THE FED GOVT WILL NOT CALL YOU TO CHARGE A FEE!

There are scamsters out there calling people charging you to help with college loan debt forgiveness. THIS PROGRAM does not require assistance. You fill out the simple form at StudentAid.gov

While there are legit college debt forgiveness companies out there, not for THIS program. THIS program is free and easy. If someone tries to charge you for help, please report them at ReportFraud.FTC.gov

Please spread the word!
