The third annual Bat World Sanctuary pumpkin drive is officially underway! This year we will only have one drop off location, right out front of the sanctuary at 299 High Point Rd, Weatherford TX. We are very near the Vietnam War Museum for those familiar with the area.
We can accept all uncut, unpainted pumpkins. The bats will often eat anything from the very large pumpkins, to smaller decorative ones. If you don't have any pumpkins handy but would still like to donate, we would be extremely grateful for any donated fruits or vegetables. A list of the bats particular favorites can be found in the photo below. If you aren't totally sure if the bats will like it or not, rest assured that anything that isn't "fruit bat approved" will be used to feed our mealworm colony, which ultimately feeds our native insect eating bats!
